Who can join the ACRA
We are passionate about building a community to support this industry as it grows.
Which is why we have created three different levels of membership to accommodate the different capacity of which you may want to participate with the Australian Canine Rehabilitation Association.
Practitioner Membership
For practitioners who are qualified in the field of canine rehabilitation to the minimum requirement of the ACRA practitioner membership standards.
StudentMembership
Student membership is open to people who are currently enrolled in a course in canine rehabilitation approved by ACRA.
Non Practitioner Membership
Companies, businesses, institutions or individuals who are interested in canine rehabilitation and would like to support this growing field.
Qualifications Eligible for Practitioner Status
- Master of Animal Physiotherapy
- Master of Veterinary Physiotherapy
- APG Animal Physiotherapy Level 1 and 2 (both completed)
- Canine Health & Wellbeing Academy Certified Canine Hydrotherapist
- Canine Health & Wellbeing Academy Certified Canine Remedial Massage Therapist
- CRI Certified Canine Rehab Therapist (vets and physios only)
- University of Tennessee Certified Canine Rehab Practitioner (vets and physios only)
- Hawksmoor Level 3 Certificate or Diploma in Hydrotherapy for Small Animals
- Greyfriars Level 3 Certificate in Hydrotherapy for Small Animals
- K9HS Level 3 Certificate or Diploma in Hydrotherapy for Small Animals
- Dogs in Motion Certified Canine Hydrotherapist
- Dogs in Motion Certified Canine Remedial Massage Therapist

Approved Practitioner Types
- Master Canine Rehabilitation Practitioners - Physiotherapists with a Masters Degree in Animal Physiotherapy
- Canine Rehabilitation Practitioners - Physiotherapists and Veterinarians who have completed either: * APA Level 2 Animal Physiotherapy Course, *Certified Canine Rehab Therapist/Practitioner Course (you must be a vet or physiotherapist for practitioner status)
- Certified Canine Hydrotherapists completed an approved Canine Hydrotherapy qualification
- Certified Canine Massage Therapist completed an approved Canine Remedial Massage qualification

- The use of the ACRA name and logo on your website & stationery.
- Receive copies of the ACRA e-newsletter.
- Updates on industry related information as well as seminars and workshops around Australia.
PRICE:
$150.00 for a full year membership plus a once only $85.00 joining fee. Note: ACRA reserves the right to refuse or reject any application for membership at its discretion without reason or explanation.
Student Membership
Student membership is open to people who are currently enrolled in a course in canine rehabilitation approved by ACRA.
Student membership entitles you to the following benefits:
- Receive copies of the ACRA e-newsletter.
- Updates on industry related information as well as seminars and workshops around Australia.
Please note that ACRA student members are not practitioners and must not work with animals unless they are appropriately qualified. Please see this website for membership requirements.
PRICE:
$70.00 for a full year membership plus a once only $85.00 joining fee. Upgrading to ACRA practitioner status is dependent on the eligibility to become a ACRA practitioner member. Please contact us for further details.
Non-Practitioner Membership
Companies, businesses, institutions or individuals who are interested in canine rehabilitation and would like to support this growing field.
Being a Non Practitioner Member entitles you to
- Receive copies of the ACRA e-newsletter.

$40.00 for a full year membership. No joining fee.
